GFI ships box nos. 230 & 231 to Cornerstone Baptist Deaf Academy, Lamlifew Elementary & Amado M. Quirit HS

Galing Foundation, Inc. ships box no. 230 (invoice no. 10112 via RDR Cargo/J. Suarez) for Lamlifew Elementary School & Amado M Quirit, Sr. HS in Mindanao through Jocelyn Robles and box no. 231 (invoice no. 10114 via RDR Cargo/J. Suarez) for Cornerstone Baptist Deaf Academy in Tarlac through Dr. Carol Woodley.
 
The boxes contained educational materials (books, school supplies and some electronic gadgets) donated by members of Cross of Life Lutheran Church in Roswell, Marie Davenport, Northwest Philam Assoc. board & members, May Kinnunen, Vladimir & Lenie Bilan, Lauren & Melissa Luetgers and anonymous donors.  
 
The shipment of the boxes was made possible by GFI's financial donors and volunteers.

A Big Thank You to Northwest Philam Association of Georgia



April 13, 2014 - Marietta, GA

The Northwest Philam Association of Georgia hosted another successful annual Easter Egg Hunt at Bells Park Ferry in Marietta serving several families and friends in the surrounding area.  An array of native Filipino home cooked meals were prepared by its members and officers as well as some familiar non-Filipino dishes enjoyed by all attendees.   

The event was highlighted with a fun filled Easter Egg hunt, a variety of contests enjoyed by children as well as by the adults and a book and school supply drive benefiting the children of Galing Foundation, Inc. 

The association has been a consistent partner of GFI on its mission to raise awareness on the importance of literacy focusing in the rural areas of the Philippines

The GFI board together with its beneficiaries expresses its gratitude to the leadership of NW Philam board and members for the consistent and generous contribution and support over the years.  Several books, school supplies and $30 monetary donation (for shipping) were received during the book drive.

Galing Foundation receives $1,555.60 from Cross of Life to support LDERA (Library Development & Education Resource Assistance) Program




March 28, 2014 - Roswell, GA-

Galing Foundation, Inc. volunteer Melissa Luetgers acknowledges receipt of $1,555.60 from Cross of Life Lutheran Church.  She thanks COL for their continued support of GFI's LDERA (Library Development and Education Resource Assistance) program.  The funds will be used to help pay for shipment of books and schools supplies received in the Atlanta area to benefit Filipino children.
