AMOPP (Art & Music Outreach Partnership Program) with Munting Tinig invites all children ages 5-15 yrs. old to join Munting Tinig, a Filipino Children's Singing Group to perform on April 17 (Saturday) at the 74th annual Dogwood Festival (http://www.dogwood.org/) at Piedmont Park under the direction of Ms. Virgie Baccay and Ms. Myrtle Yap.

Last day for your child to join is this Sunday, March 21.

Rehearsals are scheduled on:
1. Sunday, March 21 (3-4:30 pm) Rehearsal & a group photo at 4:30-5pm
2. TBA Week of April 4 (Fulton County spring break)

Are you considering retiring in the Philippines? - J. Rolen

Galing Foundation, Inc., a 501 (c)3 non profit public charitable organization was sponsored by Mabuhay Store (owned and operated by Ces & Tony Alberto) with Ms. Jane Rolen of the Social Security Administration, as speaker on SRRV (Senior Resident Retirement Visa) last Saturday, March 13, 2010. Ms. Rolen shared her first-hand experience on applying for SRRV with some members of the community considering retiring in the Philippines.

This free community service under GFI's IOPP (Informational Outreach Partnership Program) was attended by Ludy dela Cruz, Vicky Alcala, Cerine Alcala, Emy Jordan, Grace Ragheb, Vicky Hanner, Joe Ejipto, Luisa Godbold, Aurora Dunn & Tony Alberto.

Ms. Rolen presented the program and provided information on current available options, the step-by-step application process, fees, eligibility, current enrollment options (for those with & without pension), required documents and its benefits.

"As an SRRV holder, the PRA can assist you in obtainnig basic documents from other government agencies. These include, but are not limited to: Alien Employment permit, Driver's License, Tax Exemption/Extension Certificate, Tax Identification Number and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance."- J. March 28: NW Phil-Am Assoc. hosts annual Easter Egg Hunt Picnic & Galing "Edu-Tool" Drive




You're invited to join NW Phil-Am Assoc. on March 28, 2010 (SUNDAY)
12 NOON-5PM for its annual Easter Egg Hunt Picnic at Bells Ferry Park Pavilion in Marietta

This is a potluck event. Please bring your favorite dish to share, 1 (one) liter of soda and at least a dozen plastic eggs. There will be moonwalk, games and egg hunt for children of all ages.

Once again, there will be a Galing "Edu-tool" drive. Donate brand new school supplies to benefit Filipino indigent children of Galing Foundation, Inc. Mindanao Outreach.

Munting Tinig began rehearsals for Dogwood Festival




March 9, 2010, Acworth, GA

Galing Foundation, Inc. (Outreach Partnership Program) with Munting Tinig have began rehearsals last Sunday, March 7. Under the music direction of Ms. Virgie Baccay & assistance from Ms. Myrtle Yap, the children began singing Filipino folk songs such as "Bahay Kubo" & "Leron-Leron Sinta" in preparation for the 74th annual Dogwood Festival (International Stage) at Piedmont Park.
